Over the weekend (when I was still recovering from Rummage Sale Week), Husband and I took the kids to the park for a picnic. I took along my camera because I wanted to capture some more of the fun color I’ve been noticing around me lately.
When I got there, I realized I had left the SD card at home, so I just sat back to just enjoy the scenery. Then I remembered my phone and got a couple of quick shots.
And then, since my camera wasn’t getting any real work done, a ladybug decided to make it his own play structure. He roamed round and round every surface, checking out each corner. It’s safe to say all creatures had a great time at the picnic.
So, like I mentioned before, in addition to making some more colorful projects this month, I’m also trying to wear more color. I’ve challenged myself to add whatever color I’m posting on to my outfit that day.
So today I wanted to get orange and yellow posted in my attempt to catch up on my projects. No photos, but I wore an orange gingham blouse and a yellow necklace. It was bright, but I loved it, so when it was time to make my yellow project for the day, I dumped all my yellow and orange beads out and got to work on a two-toned necklace.
It’s a little difficult to tell, but there are 4 different colors of beads in this bowl, two shades of yellow and two shades of orange. They look like a giant bowl of fruit. Well, fruit with holes in it.
I decided on the brightest yellow and the brightest orange beads to make a juicy-colored necklace.
I finished it off in gold to accent the warmth of the colors.
One of the most interesting aspects of these 31 Days projects has been seeing the mix of colors – leftover fabric scraps piled up on the table, random beads thrown into a little cup on my desk, even the photos next to each other in their folder on my desktop. Seeing how these different colors and shades look with each other has been so inspiring, and now I’m bursting with ideas for my shop. But first, sleep! Good night!
