I finished my navy skirt today. After making a new skirt with elastic yesterday, I was inspired to finish this one.
And because I got my last birthday present in the mail today (thanks, Mom!) and thought it would be great to wear with it. (My birthday was 3 weeks ago. My mother is known for stretching out birthdays as long as possible.)
I finished this skirt similarly to yesterday’s project, except I didn’t do a double fold. I just folded the top down 3.5″ (to accommodate 3″ elastic) and left the edges raw. That’s what I love about jersey – it doesn’t fray.
I’m getting a late start on my post for tonight, so I’m keeping it short and sweet. I met up with a dear friend for coffee this evening, and she bought me a yummy Salted Caramel Mocha as a belated birthday treat. So I guess that was technically my last birthday present. (Sorry Mom!)
