So, no project to show you today. I’ve been working really hard on one this morning and this afternoon, and it’s showing lots of potential, but I just tried to finish it up, and it’s not working. The stitches aren’t coming together, and the end product is a mess.
And while my first impulse was to kick it into high gear and crank this out, I know I don’t have time to begin again and get it right. I was just in the garage trying to start over, cutting up cardboard boxes with a rotary blade, and I cut my finger open because I was rushing. Nap time is almost over, I’ve got a meeting tonight I need to prepare a bit more for, and, as I stare at my sliced finger, I’m starting to feel the OPPOSITE of PURPOSEFUL. It’s feeling very haphazard, and that’s not the point of this month of projects.
So, I think the most PURPOSEFUL thing for me to do right now is clean up all the fabric and cardboard and paper strewn about my garage and living room and dining room table, brew a cup of tea, and sit down and think. I’m going to go back to the drawing board, literally, to sketch out version 2.0 of this project and figure out how to make it work WELL. Hope to have a finished project for you tomorrow!
